In 2018, the global traffic of hydrocarbons reached 9.6 million tons against 9 million tons in 2018.

The debarkation of refined products increased by 5% to reach 4,8 million tons against 4,6 million tons in 2017. However, the embarkation
of refined products witnessed a decrease of 6% passing from 1,9 million tons in 2017 to 1,8 million tons in 2018, due to a drop by 9% in the
export of refined products through the port of La Skhira, where it registered 1,26 million tons in 2018 compared to 1,38 million tons in 2017
and by 8% through Bizerte port, where it registered 435 thousand tons in 2017 compared to 471 thousand tons in 2018.

The national cabotage traffic of crude petroleum oils between the port of Bizerte and the port of La Skhira rose 165% to 482 thousand tons
in 2018 compared to 182 thousand tons in 2017.

*Chemical products:
In the import, Chemical traffic decreased by 33% compared to the previous year, registering 212 thousand tons in 2018, this is explained
by the decrease in imports of ammonia from the port of gabes (-35%).

However, chemical traffic in the export witnessed a decrease of 8% in 2018 in comparison with 2017, registering 449 thousand tons
because of the decrease in the exports of phosphoric acid from the port of Skhira (-13% ).

*Vegetable oils:
The import of vegetable oils decreased by 29% in 2018 compared to 2017. Contrariwise, the export of vegetable oils increased by 287%
compared to the previous year thanks to the export of 22 thousand tons of olive oil from the port of Sfax.
