TRADE WITH AFRICA (EXCEPT A.M.U)
Trade with other African countries, excluding UMAs, recorded an increase of 147%, from 894 thousand tons in 2017 to 2.2 million tons in
2018.
This remarkable increase is particularly affected exports with 1.6 million tons against 332 thousand tons in 2017 is an increase of 377%, it is
due to the quantities of clinker exported to these African countries.
Egypt is the main country of origin with 626 thousand tons landed mainly at the ports of Bizerte, Gabes and La Skhira while Côte d'Ivoire is
the main destination country with 877 thousand tons of clinker shipped from the ports of La Goulette and Gabes.
TRADE WITH THE EUROPEAN UNION
Trade with the European Union reached 16,6 million tons, 56% of the total trade, divided into 55% of imported goods (10 million tons) and
57% of exported goods (6,6 million tons).

TRADE WITH THE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES (EXCEPT E.U)
Les échanges commerciaux avec les autres pays Trade with other European countries except the E.U reached 5,2 million tons, 19% of the
total trade, 4,5 million tons of which were imported mainly from Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, and 0,8 million tons were particularlyexported
to Turkey and Norway.
The principal products are: ammonia, hydrocarbons, sulfur, grain and general cargo.
TRADE WITH THE AMERICAN CONTINENT
Trade with the Americas reached 3.2 million tons, 11% of the total trade, where 12% in import (2,2 million tons) and 9% in export (978
thousand tons).

The main countries of origin belonging to this area are the USA(1.2 million tons), Brazil (509 thousand tons) Colombia (145 thousand tons)
and Honduras (130 thousand tons). The main goods are: grains, petroleum coke (USA, Colombia), hydrocarbons and raw sugar landed in
the port of Bizerte (from Brazil).
The main destination is the USA with 794 thousand tons of exported products (hydrocarbons and salt).

TRADE WITH ASIA
Trade with Asian countries reached 1.2 million tons, 4% of the total trade, 430 thousand tonsof which were imported mainly from the
United Arab Emirates and Saoudi Arabia and 755 thousand tons were exported to Bangladesh and India.
The main products are: sulfur and phosphate fertilizers.
